Somalia: Artillery Shelling On Ethiopian Troop's Base in Mogadishu

Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)-Armed groups have fired several mortars on Ethiopian troop's army base of former defense ministry building in the capital on Friday residents said.

Some reports said that a number of missiles hit inside the camp although its unknown the casualties occurred there.

The Ethiopian forces have also fired back several mortars that caused the death of one civilian who was a man was driving donkey cart in Al-baraka village and several mortars were hit inside Hamar Jadid village but no more causality were reported.

The residents close to the attacked areas have expressed further concern on the nighttime shelling since they don't know where run away although the Ethiopian army base of former defense ministry in isolated location.

Civilians have borne the brunt of almost daily fighting in Mogadishu between Ethiopia-backed government forces and the remnants of an Islamist militia that briefly controlled large parts of the country at the end of 2006.
